Q.2) How and to what extent are Disney new products planning initiatives likely to benefit from Jobs success at apple computer? What are the benefits gained by Disney through media convergence?

There are many advantages that Disney will get on the name of Steve jobs. Jobs started with Apple computers Inc. and now it’s a huge brand with one of the leading market share and with most innovated products with them. Similarly Pixar is also included in this story of success as it has also succeeded in its journey. After the success of these two companies it can be said that Steve Jobs is itself a brand which has been creating a success story from the starting of his journey. He always know that by the alliance of Pixar and Disney both the companies can make full utilization of the resources in an interactive way and can also exchange knowledge and skills.  There are certain benefits which Disney can get from Apple computers:

Product Improvement:  This offering of Disney products using Apple products has enriched attributes of Apple products and also had a positive effect on the brand equity of Apple. Disney also enhanced its own brand to much wider extent by using integrating activities (relationship where products and services are exchanged) by which  both will get gain a stronger position by cooperating with one another.

Reduction marketing cost: Disney pays a lot for marketing of its movies before the release of its animated films. But with the alliance of Apple they get the benefit to market their product with the help of different apple product lines such as Apple iPods. Steve jobs will definitely use this advantage to reduce their marketing cost as well as to earn revenues by reaching maximum number of audiences.

Jobs have always believed in delivering the quality of the product not the quantity. So after this deal we can imagine that Disney can bring up new and innovative products (better animated films) which will have great quality and which are made according to the choice and preference of the customers.
